The Datuk T sex video saga got a replay on the Internet today with the uploading of the CCTV footage said to place opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim at the scene of the sex act, along with threats of a new sex video dated Jan 13, 2011.
Blogger Papa Gomo posted on his site what he calls “exclusive” footage showing two men, allegedly businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Anwar, entering and exiting a lift of a building claimed to be Ampang Apartment, said to be the venue of the infamous sex video.
On the blog, the clip is edited to link the CCTV footage with the Carcosa sex video, showing the final minutes of the latter with the man, said to be Anwar, dressing up and leaving, with corresponding time stamps to suggest the sequence of events were continuous.
However, the garments of both men in the CCTV footage do not appear to match that of the two shown in the sex video.
In the former, the man said to be Eskay is dressed in a completely dark outfit, while in the sex video, the man shown is in light shirt and pants (right).
The man said to be Anwar is also wearing dark pants in the CCTV footage, but apparently lighter coloured pants in the sex video.
The CCTV footage was earlier mentioned in the case facts when Eskay and his collaborators were tried and charged for screening pornography this June.
Datuk T Video Season II
While much of the notorious sex video has been uploaded onto cyberspace before, the present footage of the goings on in the room are taken from a different camera angle not shown before, from the far-right corner of the room facing the bed.
The blog, that elsewhere also included the more explicit moments of the sex video edited documentary-style to implicate the PKR de facto leader, said its intention was to call for Anwar’s resignation.
The new clip also ended with an ominous teaser of another piece of footage, apparently taken on Jan 13, 2011 at around 8.30am.
The “new video” shows a man alleged to be Anwar in a bathrobe, taken from what appears to be a hidden camera.
The blogger threatened to release this new video (left) soon saying this was just a teaser and asking, “Where was Anwar on 12-13 January 2011?”
“Should we release this (new) sex video of Anwar Ibrahim…?” taunted the blogger.
Papa Gomo, reported to be a self-professed BN supporter, had earlier been investigated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for posting the Carcosa sex video.
On June 24, Eskay and former Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim were jointly charged with possession and distribution of pornography under Section 292(a) of the Penal Code.
Meanwhile, former Malacca chief minister Rahim Thamby Chik was charged with abetment under Section 109 of the Penal Code.
The three, who called themselves the ‘Datuk T’ trio first screened the sex video at Carcosa Seri Negara hotel on March 21.
The video has since made its rounds on the Internet as well as in CD copies distributed around Selangor, that the BN had lost to the opposition during the 2008 political tsunami.
Anwar lodged a police report a day after the sex video was screened, denying it was him.
Opposition politicians also repeatedly defended the parliamentary opposition leader, accusing Umno of using this as a ploy to discredit him.
On Sept 8, inspector general of police Ismail Omar announced that Anwar will be investigated for lodging a false police report on the sex video.
PKR vice-president Tian Chua however slammed Ismail’s announcement saying this was not in accordance with the law, since the identity of the man in the sex video has yet to be established.
“I’m quite surprised we have an IGP who appears to not know criminal investigation procedure. Is he now saying they have completed investigations, to say that the man in the video is Anwar?” said Chua on Sept 9. – Mkini
