IPOH, Aug 26 — Photographs of a half-dressed couple in what appears to be a wedding shoot have gone viral.
The images of the “bride” and “groom” began the rounds on social media after lunch yesterday.
It appears the photographs were taken at a pedestrian crossing along busy Jalan Sultan.
The man was not wearing a shirt but had a pair of black pants and bow tie on while the woman was dressed in white undergarments and had on a veil.
Checks on the identity of the couple revealed that the photographs were part of a “wedding shoot” organised by an Ipoh wedding studio.
Calls to the studio went unanswered but a source said: “The photographers who did the shoot were exploring their creativity and chose the location for its colonial and pre-war buildings setting.”
Acting police district chief Supt Ahmad Termizi Abdul Haq said the couple’s behaviour could be investigated under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for insulting behaviour.
His office was alerted of the incident through WhatsApp at noon and the police went to the location to investigate.
However, those involved in the photo shoot had left.
No police reports had been lodged on the incident as of 5pm yesterday.
