PETALING JAYA: Sarawak Report Editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown has alleged that Barisan Nasional has forgotten to govern because its leaders are distracted by their greed.
“They have got so abusive and so greedy that they forget their job is to govern,” she said in an interview with FMT.
“They appear to think only about how much money they can make before the house falls down. In the process, they’re destroying themselves. Everyone can see it.
“At the moment, they’re all turning on each other and the reason is that outrageous corrupt practices are now being revealed to the world.
“So, as they say, most governments are not defeated; they defeat themselves.”
She said Malaysia would not see a true democracy until a change in government happened.
“I think people want it to be a democratic country, but BN, which is the world’s longest serving government to date, is not acting like a democratic government,” she said.
“The current leaders have abused all the democratic institutions they inherited when they came into office and it is time that this abusive office is dealt with.” – FMT
