Two men win the lottery, walk away with total prize of RM44mil

Christmas came very early for two men this year.

The two lucky men — one from Penang and the other from Malacca — scooped up a total prize of RM44.8mil in the Sports Toto Jackpot’s May draw.

The Star Online reported that the winner from Penang, who had been buying the same set of numbers for three years, won the RM18.4mil Supreme Toto 6/58 Jackpot on May 15.

“I first started playing Sports Toto three years ago because I wanted to get rich,” he was quoted as saying.

“I randomly picked the winning set of numbers, 10, 37, 44, 46, 54 and 56, when I first bought Supreme Toto 6/58 and continued to buy the same set of numbers since then.

”He told the portal that he found out about his win in the newspaper a day after the draw, adding that his wife was “speechless” when he broke the news to her.

But the biggest winner was a man from Malacca, who walked away with a whopping RM26.4mil in the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 last Saturday.

The man told The Star Online that he bought his ticket in Negri Sembilan, where he paired his new car registration number and house address.

He reportedly paid just RM2 to bet on the winning pair of “7584 and 8899” that won him RM26,373,802.20.

The 50-year-old company manager, who collected his winnings on Monday, told the portal that he would use the winnings for his child’s education, investment and charity. – Coconut Media
