Sultan Ibrahim: No street demonstrations allowed in Johor

PASIR GUDANG:  Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar will not allow any kind of street demonstration to take place in Johor.

“It is irresponsible for people to gather in public places and insult leaders and certain individuals, and I would like to stress that I would not allow any kind of demonstration to take place in Johor,” he said.

Sultan Ibrahim added that such demonstrations would only disturb public order and create divisions among the rakyat.

Speaking in his decree at the Himpunan Bangsa Johor held at the Pasir Gudang Indoor Stadium here, Sultan Ibrahim urged various non-governmental organisations in the state as well as Bangsa Johor not to take part in street demonstrations.

Sultan Ibrahim said that if there were people that was not satisfied with the Government, then they should use the right channels to voice their dissatisfaction instead of taking to the streets.

“Go and meet your respective elected representatives, and if they fail to voice your grievances, then by all means choose a new leader who is capable to do the job,” he said. – The Star Online
