GEORGE TOWN: Datin Vivian Cheow, the widow of slain businessman Datuk Ong Teik Kwong, visited the wife of florist M. Senthil who was also killed during a shooting spree at Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway on Dec 1.

She chatted with L. Thatchayani, 42, at her house in Seberang Jaya yesterday morning and also gave her RM4,000, which she said was from her husband’s charity organisation called Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Ckone.

Cheow, 29, was accompanied by several members from the organisation. Later in the day, Cheow visited part-time RTM videographer Mohamed Amirul Amin Amir at the Penang Hospital.

Although she could not meet Amirul, who was shot in the chest, as he had been sedated after a minor surgery, Cheow managed to talk to his mother Bunisha Mohamed Ali and sister Siti Munirah Amir.

“I am here out of concern for the family as Amirul was injured in this unfortunate incident,” she told newsmen.

Cheow later gave RM2,000 to Amirul’s mother.

“It was his (Ong’s) wish to help others through this charity arm,” she said.

On Dec 1, Ong’s bodyguard allegedly shot him while he was inside a car.

Ong’s driver and business partner, who were also in the car, suffered head injuries after the bodyguard pistol-whipped him.

Two other people were also killed in the drama – professional clown Choi Hon Ming, 32, and Senthil.

Four others were injured including Amirul. – The Star Online
