Cops confirm kidnapping of pastor in Petaling Jaya

PETALING JAYA: The search is on for a pastor whom police say was kidnapped early yesterday morning in Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya.

According to police, Raymond Koh is believed to have been abducted after he was seen driving along Jalan Bahagia in a Honda Accord (ST 5515 D).

“We’re still trying to locate and rescue the victim, including hunting the suspects involved,” Selangor CID chief, SAC Fadzil Ahmat was quoted as saying by Astro Awani

As yet, there has been no ransom demand nor motive identified on the reason for the kidnapping.

“So far we do not know the motive for the kidnapping and the victim’s family members have not received any ransom demands from the kidnappers,” Fadzil said.

Police say they are investigating the case under Section 365 of the Penal Code for kidnapping.

Meanwhile, according to The Star, social media users shared messages yesterday claiming that Koh was taken from his car in Jalan Bahagia.

“Police received a report that that occupants of a van stopped the pastor’s car, a silver Honda Accord, along Jalan Bahagia, Petaling Jaya, and abducted him,” one of the messages had said. – FMT
